Happy Hour Club hosts fun events for women in every profession, industry, sector and phase of their lives. Our events celebrate successes, help us make meaningful connections, and provide an opportunity to support, listen, and sip local.
Happy Hour Club was originally launched in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 2018. Since then we have expanded to Moncton, and Saint John; and in 2023 we are excited to bring HHC to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Happy Hour Club is owned and managed by Courtney Wilson, a proud resident of Cap-Pelé since 2020.
We are passionate about helping all women make meaningful connections, about celebrating our individual and collective achievements, and showcasing female-run businesses in each of the fantastic cities that we host our events. Our hope is that our events provide an opportunity for women to connect, collaborate, and feel inspired to strive for their goals; all while feeling included in our supportive community.
The Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce recognizes that we are in Cap-Acadie, or in Epegoitnag, in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi’kmaq people.
This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which these nations first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources, but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
We, the staff and members of the board, pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land. We honour the knowledge keepers and seek their guidance as we strive to develop closer relationships with the Indigenous people in New Brunswick.
